The company successfully sold out Panther Ridge – a 4,500 acre master planned community adjacent to Lakewood Ranch – and successfully partnered in the sellout and completion of Positano, a luxury 29 unit condominium on Longboat Key.
In addition to Panther Ridge and Positano, several of its completed projects include: Perico Bay Club, Wildewood Springs, Wild Oak Bay, Valencia, Azalea Park NW, Tanglewood and the Oaks. The company also has many commercial developments to its credit.

Frank A. Buskirk - Principal
A native of Manatee County, he has been a principal in real estate communities since 1976. He is a graduate of the University of Florida and has taken a leadership role in many local organizations including the Manatee Chamber of Commerce, Manatee Memorial Hospital, Boys & Girls Club Foundation, Manatee Marine Institute, St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, Palma Sola Presbyterian Church and others. Frank is committed to maintaining the superb quality of life in this area.

Steve E. Summers - Principal - (In Memoriam 1945-2021)
He grew up in Bradenton, went to Florida State and rose to president of a public company, Champion Home Builders, Co., before returning to the area to join BSG. Steve served as chairman of the board of Global Homes, a housing company with over forty locations in the U.S. and was also on the board of Builders Credit, a subsidiary of Chrysler First Financial.
Jeffrey D. Gravely, CCIM - Principal
Jeff began his career on the West Coast of Florida in 1981 after graduating from the University of Florida’s School of Business, majoring in Real Estate and Finance. Subsequent to graduation, Jeff earned the prestigious Member Appraisal Institute (MAI) designation, and until 1993, was principal and partner in a regional appraisal, valuation and consulting firm. During this period, Jeff actively provided valuation and evaluation services of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and advised clients on real estate investment decisions. Clients included the Resolution Trust Corp (RTC), Federal Depository Insurance Corp (FDIC), Bank of America, Wachovia Bank, and numerous other regional financial institutions.
Additionally, Jeff provided expert valuation testimony in state and federal courts. He is no longer active in the appraisal field, but provides non-appraisal valuation services including asset management, transaction management, brokerage, and real property investment analysis/counseling
Jeff is also a CCIM member of the CCIM Institute, one of the leading commercial real estate associations in the world. The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of a graduate-level education curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience. The curriculum addresses: financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis the cornerstones of commercial innvestment real estate. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis.
Since 1995 he has served as Executive Vice President, and is responsible for overall project development. This includes strategic planning, financial & feasibility analysis, construction management, permitting and contract /lease negotiations.

Debi L. Smith - Project Coordinator
Debi has been with the company since 1998 and active in Manatee County real estate since 1985. She currently manages all commercial properties the company owns. She has been a Realtor in Manatee County since 1992. She also has been an active licensed CAM (Community Association Manager) since 2017.

Christy McIlwaine - Full Charge Bookkeeper
Christy has a 20 year background in finance and bookkeeping and has been with our company since 2018. She manages the books for all of the company entities.
